Savannah Forsyth Park Wedding Photography – Iggy + Jahziel – Six Hearts Photography

Hey there. William and Schellie here.

You remember Jahziel and Iggy from their sneak peek, right? (click here to refresh your memory)

They were our first wedding of 2015 and we have to say that it went off without a hitch. You know, wonderfully.

Everything was so pretty. Including Jahziel and Iggy. When we first began communicating with Jahziel through phone conversations, we told her that we creeped on them on Facebook and that they looked like models (yes, we creep. you do too). Jahziel then proceeded to tell us that they were hand models. WHAT?

Their wedding, February 28, rolled around and we, along with RobotBooth and Dj Cuttlefish from Far Out Galaxy, road tripped it down to Savannah, GA for their wedding. We stayed in this incredible tree house through AirBnB the night before, Diamond Oaks Treehouse (which we’ll be sharing photos of later), and it just so happened that Jahziel’s cousin was staying in the same bnb and we told her over breakfast that they were hand models.

This, my friends, is how rumors get started.

They’re not really hand models, fyi.

Onto the wedding.

Planning, design, and florals by Ivory and Beau paired with Jahziel and Iggy’s impeccable style made this wedding the perfect balance of glitz and soft.

When we asked Jahziel how she decided the style, she said, “shiny… all things shiny… and gold….”.

We think Gold will forever be in.

The color palette of this wedding consisted of Blush, White, Ivory, and Gold.

The day began at Jahziel and Iggy’s home, with horses trotting outside on the streets and Baby’s Breath bridesmaids bouquets covering the counters.

The bridal bouquet was packed with White and Blush Garden Roses, White Spray Roses, White and Blush Ranunculus, White and Black Anemones, and Scabiosa pods. Do you know which is which? We don’t. We just know they’re super pretty.

Moving on.

Jahziel wore a floral robe (she gifted a variety of robes like it to her bridesmaids) and her hair in curlers for a good portion of the day. She also wore two different high heel shoes because she hadn’t decided which she was wearing for the day yet. Imagine this woman in a kitchen. (Really, you don’t have to imagine; we have photos for you below!) You have yourself a sexy 50’s housewife. We’re sorry, it was just too rich to pass up mentioning. Needless to say, some delicious PB&Js were made for their son and everyone was jelly. Get it? Jelly.

We’ve seen articles on the internet about how to repurpose or style your bridesmaids dresses to wear after the wedding, which raises the question: why even buy to begin with?

Jahziel had her bridesmaids rent dresses from Rent the Runway. We think this is a great idea for those of you planning or attending some special events. The dresses, sequin covered, were classy and fun with a luxurious feel. We like it when bridesmaids look this fancy. Sparkle away. Please. (see them below)

While the girls were getting ready, Iggy spent his day doing important stuff with his groomsmen and looking like a rockstar in his shades and suit. Seriously, this hotshot looks like he’s straight out of a fashion spread. Tip: We think the shades and being on the go help with this, for those of you grooms wanting to look like hot shit. You know, if you think you can pull it off like Iggy.

Their ceremony time arrived and there were tiny amounts of sprinkles falling from the sky.

We love the White statue on the Fountain high in the air and the chalkboard by Design is Sweet greeting guests as they arrive.

Jahziel’s gown was Blu by Mori Lee. She paired it with perfectly curated accessories, like a beautiful beaded belt tied in a flowing bow on the back and an elegant veil with shiny and intricate beading around the edges. Her shoes were Betsey Johnson, sparkley and strappy with bows going up the top of her foot, the perfect amount of edge.

We love her tattoo going into the back of her dress. Take note, tattooed brides.

Jahziel was stunning as she walked down the aisle. We’re sure viewers in the distance mistook her for a celebrity. You know, the kind that gets on those “20 Hottest People” list.

We learned that Iggy studied at SCAD for Music Theory, so we weren’t surprised to show up to live music during their ceremony. Michael Houston played the Violin.

At the beginning of each aisle stood Gold, glitter covered vases with Baby’s Breath. For aisle markers, there were paper cones with Pink Petals in them and instructions for guests to throw them as the bride and groom walk down the aisle together at the end of the ceremony. This is one of the first times we’ve seen the aisle makers act as encouragement to guest involvement and we LOVED it.

During the ceremony, their toddler son roamed around the Violinist with a toy car in hand. Can you say “adorable”? Cause we just did.

Blog post-5After their ceremony, Iggy and Jahziel stuck around for their couples session and had their guests sent on a trolley over to Garibaldi’s, the reception location.

Blog post-6We often find that wedding days get hectic and don’t leave much room for actually spending time with the person you just publicly declared your love to. This is one of the reasons that the couples session is one of our favorite parts of the day; it’s one of the only times the bride and groom get to love on each other. We snuck this couple off to a location away from guests, giving them a chance to walk around the city talking, snuggling up to each other, and being happy.

There were tons of sweet details at the reception. We loved their Sweetheart Table, which we see becoming increasingly popular vs having a bridal party table. With a sequin linen by Ultrapom Rentals and Gold Chiavari chairs, their table definitely said  “shiny… all things shiny… and gold….”.

So did their cake topper. They had two cakes, a chic white three tier wedding cake, and a groom’s cake, a Donut Cake with humorous images of Arnold Schwarzenegger, professional football players, and other manly men.

Jahziel and Iggy got to adventure through the kitchen before their reception entrance and Iggy was greated with a WWE Champion belt. What winners.

We love seeing unique seating charts and escort cards. Or should we say, cars.  They chose a play on words and chose to have “Escort Cars”. How clever, right? They had all the cars painted Gold with table and name tags attached.  The kids and the adults loved them; they played with them on the floor and in their food. 😉

With up lighting to set the tone, Dj Cuttlefish got the party going with a killer mix and everyone had a blast on the dance floor. The RobotBooth, a unique and evolutionary photo booth, stood in the corner and gave the dance floor a little competition. To see the RobotBooth music video and get your photo downloads, click here.
